VA Hewitt Provides Reliable and High-Quality Remote Administrative Support To Restaurateurs Without Increasing Labour Cost
After more than sixteen years of hands-on experience in the hospitality industry, Michaela Hewitt – Proprietor of VA Hewitt – is making her administrative skills and expertise available to multiple restaurateurs from her home office.
TORONTO, May 3, 2019 – Michaela Hewitt, creator of VA Hewitt, announced today that she is officially accepting restaurant clients to provide them with excellent virtual administrative services. As Michaela’s services are remote, restaurateurs from all over Ontario are able to take advantage of her competence and know-how.
Michaela claims: “Running a successful restaurant isn’t only about being the hottest chef in town or giving better service than anyone else. It is also about keeping finances, systems, processes and all the other pesky office tasks in order.”
According to Carrie Luxem, CEO at Restaurant HR Group Inc., 60% of restaurants fail in the first year of business and 80% of restaurants fail in the next 3-5 years. Some of the reasons are ineffective hiring, lack of proper training, a disorganized restaurant, overspending, little understanding of food cost and lack of systems.
VA Hewitt is specialized in restaurant related finances, common HR issues, inventory management and service optimization. Michaela assures that she will not only perform almost any administrative task but also improve the efficiency and effectiveness of said task if so desired by her client.
About VA Hewitt
VA Hewitt was created because its founder, Michaela Hewitt, was disheartened to see so many outstanding restaurants fail despite them being incredibly busy. She wanted to find a way to support not only one restaurant as its employee, but as many restaurateurs as she could. And with that, VA Hewitt was born.
Michaela’s true love and talent for the industry is behind the scenes where she is able to create systems and processes to make the work for others easier and more efficient. Michaela has spent her entire working life in the hospitality industry. She started her journey with a three-year apprenticeship in hospitality in Germany. Before settling in Canada, she worked in Germany, Switzerland and Australia where she experienced a wide range of service expectations and different customs within the industry. She completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Guelph successfully and was also recognized by the Ontario Hostelry Institute as one of the Top 30 Under 30 in 2015.
